AI Patch for BLIC

guys i think that there should be an AI Patch for BLIC 2005 in which the cpu players take singles because i played blic 2005 and found it quite interesting but this is not a goo dfeature that the cpu dont take singles we should od something plz do give ur suggestions

By me yes. I think you know why. Whether you're right or not is irrelevant.

It involves editing the encrypted exe. None of us have the technical skill to make a program to scan the exe for the AI info. Sam does but hasn't been online recently.

A quick explanation on why this is so hard. Firstly, as barmyarmy says, the exe is Starforce protected and encrypted. Obtaining a 'clean' version is very hard, and more importantly probably illegal. For that reason I don't feel it's a worthwhile thing to talk about.

Secondly, it seems that the AI is hard coded in to the game, and not in a text file or other easily accessable scheme. Changing a text file is trivial, patching the code is considerably tougher - there's no clear clue as to which bit to change! So while it's not technically impossible to make an AI patch, it's certainly hard, and probably not going to happen

Its impossible to encrypt an exe which is protected by SF3 to me so i dont think we ppl can make a AI patch i think we shall request rubber genious
