AI Team questions

I am not sure if this has been answered before so forgive me if it has.

I only play online with my brother and have separate career what I want to know is when you choose a team does the AI of the team you have play according to there abilities albeit with Human control ?

Or is that not even regarded when both pick an team to play.

Not sure if I put my point over properly so I try this lol

Custom online game I pick India the team has 3 Stars, my brother picks say Canada 2 Stars.

Now I am wondering if both AI teams play at that particular skill level or not even relevant.

If the teams do use the AI of the teams then means I am useless haha as my brother is whooping my ass.

Was hoping some AI was or is relevant.

There's an option when setting up an online custom match to 'normalise skills' - this equalises the two teams skill wise, so that it isn't a factor.

It is the default for quick matches, but needs to be selected manually when playing custom matches.

So if I pick a poor team and he picks a decent team unless I normalise it the teams do react to those skill levels?
