OK, I said it because I felt like? now this any problem?

On a different note, i believe that the recent news about there being home grown terrorists mean that we are being attacked from within. So instead of suspecting muslims, we should suspect noone as everyone from all different backgrounds are capable of such atrocities.

SO its your choice, suspect everyone of a crime they may or may not committ or suspect noone and live in harmony

The UK Police has been really supportive to Brittish Muslims.

They have tried to protect them for stereotyping comments (e.g. "Oi, Bin Laden!") for these drive some to terrorism

I don't think its a conspiracy, just the Government twisting something for their benefit.
The government actually knew about the plot well before Thursday, so they used it to their advantage.

The reason why it happened now, is because the Pakistani authorities arrested someone called Rashid Rauf (From Birmingham I believe) and his associates told the other plotters back home to go ahead with it.

It had nothing to do with timing but they had to do it following Raufs arrest.

Just saying "they're not Muslims because Muslims don't do this" is a logical fallacy. The people in America who murder abortion doctors are still Christians, the IRA are still Catholics, and these terrorists are still Muslims. Let's not be naive about this. Their religion almost certainly played a part in their actions, let's not pretend otherwise.

I thought it was the Catholics in America who are mainly responsible for the murder of abortion doctors?

Correct if I'm wrong.

I think they arrested some Afgans in pakistan of what i've heard.

Although Catholics are behind most of the protests, the violent side of the anti-choice movement is usually from evangelical christians.

They were going to move anyway a few days after Thursday, but then the brother of one of the plotters, Rauf, was arrested in Pakistan and they had to move. So they probably would gained some advantage anyway if it all went to plan.

there is certainly some connection between religion and some of the terrorist movements of the modern day.

Post of the Year 2006.

To say that was stating the obvious would be an understatement.
At least its true though, pretty much every terrorist group has some kind of ideological motivation.

indeed. LIke i said earlier, its mis-interpretation of the words in the text that result such acts. It can happen to any text, any religion. Right now, Islam is being made a scapegoat (if thats the right way to express it).

Prejudice and other bias aside, we've to accept that most (to all) of "terrorists" are muslims, and lot of them fight for so called "jihad, in their own terms".

Anyway, coming back to the topic.

Italy have raided a muslim community centre and have arrested 40 people, not for terrorist activities, but for apparently "violating the public code etc.".

This is one aftermath of the event in UK, and i'm sure we'll be seeing (unfortunately) more of such.

The next few days will be quite interesting, some important days in countries like India, US and few others, and any more such acts will only result in much stronger opposition.

I find it funny that people have no problem with us not existing before we are born, but just can't handle not existing after we die.
Usy I loved how you swerved around this. I have said this in a number of threads which it has been ignored...

So im just going to highlight it again;)
