If the odds are 0.53, does that mean I'll lose money when Australia wins?

No. If you bet now, the odds recored will be 0.53
Then, if Australia wins, and you'd placed a bet of vCash 1000, then you get back vCash 1530 [Bet * Odds (0.53)] back.

The odds will be changing in future, but the odds for your bet are recorded at the time you bet for them.

I hope this helps. :)

Ok, I thought so. So it's not like betting here.

Here if you bet $1000 when the odds are 1.53, you get $1530 including your investment.

There is no such thing as losing money on a winning bet. That is just retarded.

I think you are confused

If you bet 1000 and the odds are 1.53, you win 530 plus the original 1000. So intotal you make 1530, with a profit of 530.

I cant explain it any simpler

Yes, I realise that. And on PC if you bet 1000 and the odds are 0.53 you win 1530.

I know how betting works, that post was meant mostly as a joke, and to diss the betting system ;)

I think you got that wrong yourself :p

If the odds are 1.53 and you bet 1000, you will will (1.53*1000) + 1000 = 2530.
So, you get back the initial 1000, and a profit of 1530.

Any update in Odds after the T20 WC? ;)

Lol, Australia would still be firm favorites to win this. Firstly, they're playing at home. Secondly, they've been truly dominant of late.

yeah i am a die hard england fan but they dont stand a chance against aussies who have been in terrific form of late. Only if england plays 5 bowlers they can atleast hope for a draw :(:crying

I agree, lets see though. If the batting line up stays solid through the summer then it might become a viable option. Don't really know who the 4th seamer would be though
