A fantastic knock by Shivnarine Chanderpaul in the West Indies' first innings was not enough to prevent the hosts being bowled over for 237. Chanderpaul hit a ton in 69 deliveries as the Windies went from 53-5 to 184-5. But they were always on the back foot in the end and Australia soon rattled through the tail. The Aussies closed at 120-1 and will be in a commanding position going into the second days play :P

Well that is not unexpected, Chanderpaul played pretty well though. I really think the West Indies' selectors messed up by appointing Lara captain again. This will surely have an effect on his batting and also give rise to factionalism in the side. I think that Chanderpaul would have been a better choice for captain in the present scenario.
