The 'super series' will have 3 ODIs in Melborne and a 6 day 'test match' to be played at the SCG in Oct 2005.

six-day Test (October 13-18) at Sydney
three one-dayers (October 5, 7 and 9) at Melbourne

Australia are very likely retain their #1 spot so it will be Australia v Rest of the world. Even though ICC has not granted 'official' status to these games so far this will no doubt be a big event for World cricket.

Yes, this should be very exciting. No doubt for the rest of the world XI test team they will just look to England ;)
Shame the same cannot be said the rest of the world one day team :(

I dont think it should have test status. Should only be allowed if it follows the rules ie is 5 days! If one of the players was to break say Lara's record then would that be fair given they have an extra day??

Good point.
Maybe they should have a 6-day test match status. Where there is a different set of records for 6 days matches. As there are for 5, and 1 day matches. (generally)
From Duffarama.

also one of the resons I think is problems with including all the stats.

Yeah, so they should have seperate stats for one-day matches, first class matches, odi matches, test matches and super-test matches. :D
From Duffarama.

This has to be good cricket.

Maybe not.

Is it on TV?
