Hello and welcome to my thread about Basketball. It is a sport which takes much concentration and skill. I am currently playing it in my Physical Education classes at my School. I seem to be getting on just fine. This thread is for fans and even people who have played a Basketball video game to have their say on the sport. Enjoy. Thank-You.

Basket ball is a realy fun game to play and to watch.
Who follows the NBA games going on

Lack Of Television Coverage

Basketball is not appreciated enough here in England. There is very limited Television Coverage. It was a treat to watch the matches at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. You will get an NBA Review Show most weekends on the Sky Sports Network.

Basketball is BIG in the US. You've got the NBA and the best Basketball team in the entire world.

Michael Jordan, Shakiel 'O Niel...

Sky Sports are showing live NBA games on Sundays, once the Superbowl is over. What annoys me is that they've stopped showing games from the British league.

I love basketball with a passion. If you wake me up in the middle of the night and give me a ball (and a hoop, of course) I'll be game. I love it. Hahaha. I've been playing it for the last 7 odd years, although I am not too good. I can shoot pretty well. The US may have the most potential as a world team but the players simply do not cooperate. Who won the olympics again? Was it Argentina? (Manu Ginobili!).

The NBA is good but its a different style of basketball. It is more scoring and less defense oriented. Teams like Detroit Pistons are changing that, but I really don't find them as attractive to watch. I don't know, but the olympics games were just much more exciting than the NBA ones I've watched. Hell even some of the inter-school games that I've watched (when participating in tournaments) seem more exciting. That said, my fav NBA teams are Kings, Mavs and Nets.

NBA shows in India every Friday and Saturday on ESPN, I think, although they have lately not covered that many games. All Star Weekend is coming up though, when's that?

Who said US has the best basketball team ever?My friend you are dreaming wake up costo reco(spelling)beat them in the olympics james was playing for the usa team he couldnt do a thing about it.

Alot of players in the nba(white's)are from bosnia yoga slovia and other european nations.Rather then that all of them are from usa and some from china.I play basketball every day with my friends.I got wonderfull shots and i can make three pointers easily.

I dont think it takes alot of concentration but yeah skill. The one game that really needs concentration is cricket one mistake would lead you losing or wining the game If you are a batsman then you really need to concentrate hard on what you are doing other then that basketball is fun and i love to play it.

I assume you're trying to say Costa Rica. It's actually Puerto Rico.

I think the Puerto Rico loss was just a one-off that brought the "Dream Team" back down to ground. But Argentina, Lithuania and some European countries have strong teams. The US is full of extremely talented ball-hogs, but you really gotta grow up playing team basketball to do well in the Olympics.

Hello. Basketball does indeed require skill, but I also think it needs concentration. Nobody will ever master it, and it is a fast-paced game. A truly great sport to watch and play. When watching Football on Television, the score is most likely to stay the same for long periods of time. In Basketball, scores are high and anything can happen. I will not pursue a career in Basketball, though, I have dreams of playing Cricket. I would also like the opportunity to say welcome back to Fardin. I heard you were banned, and have seen your Posts on the Codemasters Forums, so, welcome back. I hope you stay here for a long time with your 'International Captain' status. Thank-You.

no worries skate board. I was banned for a very good reason but I'm going to make sure I don't get banned again.

Staying on topic, I must say that Phoenix and Seattle have pleasantly surprised me this season. Except now my favorite teams are going down. :(

I watched highlights of the NBA match between Dallas and Indianapolis last night. What a close game. I think it finished 92-93 to Dallas.

basketball is the best sport next to cricket to me hockey soccer aren't really intersting me enuff like basketball its really fun and if you have a chance of playing it its really tough and requries skills like i have:)... basketball is like life... u shot to get the point in the basket u get the points if u don't get it in you don't get the point... life is like that you go and you try to achieve your goal you take the shot and sometimes you get what you want if you get it in and if you don't get it in you don't get what you want in life
