DO you think the bowlers bowl beamers deliberately ?

I saw brad haddin got two beamers in two consecutive matches one from r.p singh and one from sreesanth.

I saw the following piece and it sound true to me-
Typically a beamer is quite hard to bowl because the ball is usually released very early on in the action. Some excuses given have been that it was an attempted yorker that slipped but this is generally not the case as a yorker is delivered much later in the action.

Also what if somebody bowls a beamer when the batman advances?

No, I always think it's just the pressure on the batsman.

I think their hands may get sweaty, and the ball just slips a bit.

It's always possible, but I reckon that most are accidents. It's a disgraceful act if anyone does it on purpose, and is very dangerous.

I reckon it is mostly accidental. Probably a combination of trying to bowl it too fast and the ball slipping out of the hands.

No, bowlers don't bowl beamers deliberately, it is actually quite hard to do it deliberately at good pace as it requires and extreme chest drive.

Most beamers are from the ball slipping out due to the wrist not coming forward properly or, as mentioned earlier, the ball slipping out too early.

I have bowled about half a dozen beamers before, most are due to the first reason with a couple because of the ball slipping out on the first ball of my spell.

I don't think bowlers bowl beamers deliberately because they already know that bowling a beamer would dent their status slightly, so why would they do it on purpose anyway?....

i think that Akhtar bowled some of his beamers on purpose, I think that the one to Kallis was on purpose the one that he bowled him with a yorker the next ball. also Lee beamer to tresko was on purpose.

sreesanth bowled a beamer to collingwood last series..he overstepped the crease by a whole yard..

that was definately deliberate and he shoudl have been banned..

beamers are dangerous and life/career threatening for a batsman.

I think if u hit a batsman with a beamer, the bowler should be banned.

Watch the match again it was a bouncer not a beamer.

Oh wow, way to mix two different balls together to produce something that clearly reeks of prejudice. Sreesanth bowled a beamer to Pietersen, iirc. He apologized immediately, as well, and Pietersen accepted his apology. It seems everyone else decided that Pietersen was idiotic to accept the apology and continues to harp on about it. As for the deliberate bouncer against Collingwood, that was silly and intentional. However, I wouldn't classify it as dangerous especially given that Flintoff and Co. were mostly dishing out short-pitched bowling throughout the series.

Theresa big difference between bowling short to get wickets and bowling short to hurt the batsmen, plus Flintoff didn't even play in the tests!
