Best Game Ever (for its time)

Do I need to tell what my Favourite game is or has been or was. hehe

Ya,I quite liked Unreal Tournament as well,but since I played only the original edition and didnt bother about buying the future editions,my interest faded gradually.Still very much a popular game.

I remember wasting quite a lot of time on CM2 when I was at school.

Yep I had CM2 until my CD broke and I tried to take it back with Currys not giving me my money back and not having anymore CM games I had to swap it for Premier Manager 97.

The trouble with CM2 is that there were magic formations. The formation and tactics you used meant that you could pretty much beat anyone with anyone.
Having not a game for 7 years with Everton, I got a bit bored...

hehe Laul, a bit of trivia from me. My best game is Heavy Metal Fakk2, brilliant fantasy game, quite old though. But a movie like experience and features Julie Strain!!.I liked Cric 2004, hence my records. UT2004 is good thanks to its online expereince only and kind of blokes I play against.

Best game ever for its time?Has to be Grand Theft Auto III because it was the first game ever to have free roaming,more than one mission to choose from,hundreds of vehicles & loads of other criminal stuff.It really revolutionised the gaming.

IMO,NO Mercy was a very poor game.The best wrestling game ever(for its time) was SmackDown! & its the only successful wrestling game series todate.

I still have No Mercy. Best wrestling game. Used two grapple modes unlike smackdown and has evolved into the Day Of Reckoning series on the gamecube which are just brilliant aswell!

Prince Of Persia (DOS Game) would have to be an all-time classic .
FIFA 98 RTWC was a superb football game in its time .

The Civ series wins it in the strategy games genre .
