Friends whom do u all think is best gloveman ever, not in terms of their batting strength then Gilly will win it hands down.

According to their Keeping abilities well Gilly again comes into picture. its tough choice anyway whats ur views guys. i nominate healy as kept against two of greatest bowlers ever, Warne and Mcgrath

If you mean pure wicket keeping ability,then it would either be Knott or Healy.

But as a keeper/batsman,Adam Gilchrist hands down.

Ya thats what i said Gilly will win it comfortably but still i am talking abt 75% wk and 25% batting talent

Rod Marsh was fine too, in tandem with Lillee, he was unbeatable. But wk/batsman is gilchrist.

I've heard that some WI keeper called Jeff Dujon was awesome.

yes dujaon had good batting abilities too but kept against a battery of pacemen not much against quality spinners

i think its tougher for wicket keepers to keep against spin.

ive only seen to very good keepers with spin which are gilchrist and healy

but i have voted for healy

no mate we havent forgotten comparing with these guys i dont moin is that good u see we havent even included Stewart, Dujon, Richardson and many others, moin is a fine keeper ya agree

oh yes, Alec Stewart was a fine keeper and batsman too! i think he also got most number of runs by an Englishman (internationally)

Andy flower too was great, but cant compare with those guys in poll though, i think boucher is in the shadows of Gilchrist otherwise he will be the best keeper batsman now

Andy Flower would get into any team purely for his Batting.

So would Gilchrist.

And come to think of it,Gilchrist is awesome even in his Wicket Keeping abilities.
