Bigger collection, with less of your favourites...

...or smaller collection, with more? My mum loves Mario Lanza (well, he's an amazing singer) and she has this LP, but can't play it anymore, as we haven't got a record player and haven't had one for years, so I want to buy her a CD collection for her birthday. Besides which, getting them on CD would be more convenient, there would be considerably more songs and they would sound a lot better, so what would you guys do?

Edit: I have no idea how many of his songs she's actually heard...

go to iTunes, choose her favourites, buy those individual songs and burn them to CD
