NEWS
HAMPSHIRE HAWKS DISMISSED FROM PLANETCRICKET.NET TWENTY20 CUP
Today the managerless Hampshire Hawks were dismissed from the Planetcricket.net Twenty20 Cup by the President, SkateBoarder, after the pre-tournament safety inspection of their Rose Bowl stadium in Southampton failed. The stadium failed to pass the inspection because of poor fire escape routes, potentially putting spectators and officials in danger in a fire. "The Planetcricket.net Twenty20 Cup is all about spectators being able to watch a quality cricket match in complete safety," said SkateBoarder. ",Unfortunately, the Rose Bowl stadium failed a key safety inspection so I had no other choice but to punish the home team." As a replacement, the Northamptonshire Steelbacks have been selected to participate in the tournament, as their County Ground stadium passed. They will be managed by Drewska, who prefers the Northamptonshire Steelbacks to the Lancashire Lightning, who are now managerless themselves.
