Booing of Ponting

Unbelievable. What a storm in a teacup. Are people forgetting the raptuous applause he got when he became the highest scoring Test Australian of all time?
He was pretty popular when they lost the 2nd Test, too. Loving to hate a player is different to actually being spiteful.

Yeah, it's not actually the Australians who have complained. It's our own media making a big fuss out of nothing and the ECB being a pile of gash. Giles Clarke can piss off; if I want to boo that chimp-faced crim I will. At ?80 a ticket I can boo who I like.

I reckon Ponting actually likes it. I just wish he would give them something back, like a fark you salute or something to a big fat shirtless pom with barmy army spray painted on his sweaty hairy back.

He said he doesn't give a rats, and then went on to even compliment the Barmy Army being a great thing in cricket.

Having read today's stories, I suspect it's about the ECB being concerned that fans such as the one that got ejected from Edgbaston reflect poorly on the rest of the crowd.

When did that happen? any news articles?

Read this in the paper today. They seemed to take it way out of context. So what if there's boo-ing? It's professional sport.

This sort of thing happens. All teams will boo the players(captains especially), it's just part of cricket. I'm sure back in the day fans have booed the great Don Bradman, or Viv Richards etc. It doesn't mean they don't respect them as when they do something in the game the fans still show respect and cheer. The only person who ever deffinately deserved a good old booing was Douglas Jardine for employing the bodyline tactic. Giles Clarke is a bit of a twit at times, can't we just get rid of him.

The crowd will pick an individual and go at him. Happens all the time. If I were at the ground a request not to boo would motivate me to boo as loudly as possible. Administrators have no idea what it is to be in amongst the crowd with six beers under your belt and your current target of opportunity walks into bat. Clarke is a Tosser. Reminds me of those officials who tried to quiten the Barmy Army last time in Australia. Sheer bonheaded idicoy, with no idea of reality.
