CaptainOZ said:Could you possibly tell me what each button on a Logitech Rumblepad controller does? I can't seem to match the buttons with what is described in the Options menu. It seems that L2 and R2 make the ball pitch left/right at the last minute, but I don't think they are special deliveries. Also, I thought buttons 1 and 3 were simply straight or swing deliveries. Are the "special" deliveries meant to be buttons L1 and L2? And what do buttons 1, 2, 3 and 4 actually do?
Thanks for any help.
Okay, I don't know the buttons on the Rumblepad but it seems that L2 and R2 are swing/ drift buttons. (Drift for spinners). 1 and 3 are special deliveries but if you press them when you have not got a special delivery (the ball by the bowlers confidence meter is flashing), than the ball goes straight.
1=special delivery number 1. This is a bouncer for a medium, medium fast and fast bowlers
2=normal delivery that goes straight or seems.
3=special deliverynumber 2 This is a yorker for medium, medium fast and fast bowlers
To check special deliveries, go on scorecard on the pause menu, press "more" an option at the bottom of the scorecard (or number 4 on numpad). You should see a menu saying the bowlers ability and also "special or special delivery"
e.g
D.Gough (Bouncer/yorker =special deliveries)
A.Giles (Quicker ball/Doosra=special deliveries)
4=this is a leg cutter -press this when the bowling meter comes up.(to righthander)
6= offcutter-press this when the bowling meter comes up. (to righthander)
8=slower or varied pace ball I think
7=Outswinger (to righthander) remember you add swing it does not happen just by pressing 2 or 4 or 6 or 8.
9=Inswinger (to righthander)
For example a normal delivery would be pressing 2. During the run-up to just as the bowler bowls you can press 7 or 9 to get desired swing (be warned the cursor moves quickly) You can add swing to every dleivery. The same is said for spinners and drift.
Hope this has in someway helped, not confused more.
