-AB de Villiers, doesn't get to show it often, but a killer finisher nonetheless
-Brendon McCullum, rivals only Sehwag in his prime in this aspect

This is a stupid topic. AB de Villiers is the best batsman of his generation, by far. McCullum is a different beast to tackle, but he's not in the bracket or the league. Just like, de Villiers isn't in McCullum's league when discussing captains.

Interesting, so this is how I see it:

Captaincy: AB
Fielding: Brendon
Batsman: AB (although I love watching Brendon ins full swing, few sights like it in world cricket)
In death overs: AB (I'm not sure what you mean by this but I took it as death over batting)
First half of innings: Brendon (Probably the most destructive top order ODI batsman in cricket atm)
