I don't know about you guys but I find catering at sporting events in the UK pretty poor. This goes for almost every type of sporting event I've ever attended.

Basically we are stuck with Bacon Rolls early in the morning and Burgers and Hot Dogs later in the day with very little else to chose from. Not only that but they are very poor quality and massively over priced. For example a Bacon roll will usually consist of a burger bun and 2 rashers of bacon and thats it and you are charged around ?4 for the privilage.

Is this similar around the world? What are your experiences and what would you like to see?

Especially as more and more these days there are restrictions on what (if anything) you can bring into sporting events food and drink wise.

Well, the burgers and chips are pretty good at Sussex (but then I'm not to picky). urgers are ?3 I believe. I spent more on food at the Brighton game I went to than the ticket. Absolute disgrace - burger was ?4.50 and chip were ?3. Nothing will change though as we still buy the stuff!!

Do they offer any alternative to burger and chips though? (I don't mean hot dog and chips either) ;)

At the racing, both horse and car the food is always good! especially at Haydock, they give all of the owners a champagne lunch. The car racing is good too, all the pit lane pass area people get great food IMO

I'm not really talking about owners and people with hospitality passes but the average member of the general public.

yer, well admittedly the food at horse racing and such like looks like bacon rolls to me, but then again ther are public restaurants at most racecourses.

Four quid burgers down at Knowsley Road are right up there amongst my favorite meals. Sums up the youth of today really.

As you well know theres the pub right next to the ground. You can get a good meal, do whatever you feeellll....YMCA (Singing for Matt's benefit):p Sorry....

Nah, seriously, you can get good food (i.e. roasts) in the pub. What I tedn to do during the summer is go to Tescos and take stuff from home and eat that stuff at Hove.

The JJB stadium do cracking pies. And I mean that seriously, i'm not just following the stereotype.

Walkers? :p

Well apparently I was wrong, rubbish overpriced burgers is what you guys want.

The Oval isnt bad for food when i went, and Trent Bridge is good.

Wembley's food is complete crap. ?8 for a burger, ?5 for a hotdog and it tasted crap and was cold. The chips were wierdly chewy and burgers had wierd crap on.
