im curently givving a 21 yr old allrounder bowling technique for the past year but when i check his form his coaching effect is 0%. does anyone know whay this is.

thanks in advance

Technique is more of a long term thing, so that he'll be a better player in the future. The coaching percentage is affected by the practice sessions that they can have, I think.

are you playing him?
it won't affect his form is he's not playing

i played him for 10 test matches, all of which were under bowling techniqh sessions, but because his bowling was c**p i thought i would leave him on bowling techniqh and not play him, in the hope that the coaching would take effect, but it hasent.

p.s i know that techniqh sessions are for the long term i just wanna see his coaching effect increace!

hi,
when the question comes on the match the importance should be given for coaching.
The players should be trained by the coach both mentally and physically.Players are well trained by good points by the coacher and also they can get some important tricks from him.

Erm... yeh. You realise we're talking about ICC in this forum don't you watson11?

Well basically the coaching effect is only used when nets coaching is used, which affects form.
Technique coaching is used to improve a player over the long term and has no affect on form, and it does not show the effect on the "coaching effect" in the player's "form" screen.

Does that make sense? I hope so.

Do u need coaching in the International seasons? Coz i havent used as yet

so technique training doesent effect the coaching %. i did not know that thnaks

Nets affect the form percentage but the technique training affects the basic quality of the player. It's generally thought that you should leave your players on technique training until they are 27 and then move onto nets or transfer the technique onto new younger players. After about 26-7 technique has little affect on players, though it can be used to prolong the careers of older players by preventing their skill from deteriorating with age.

ive never even thought about useing it on olderplayers for such effect! excellent idea, i have offically stolen that idea and shall now implament it onto my older generation of superstars (flintoff and north)
