I bought Cricket 2002 a week ago, and i was just wondering how this game can be the best cricket game ever created?
I have been playing the world series against the auzzies and shane warne seems to be introduced in the 47th over only bowling 2 overs and Damien Martyn bowls his 10. Also if you score a total above 300 from 50 the comp. chases it normally, Ghilchrist was 20 from 50 balls when they needed a run rate of over 6. I think shane warne cricket is still the best game.

To get a balanced view also read my review also on the same link (further down).

Just adding to it slightly:
Bowling: The bowling in Cricket 2002 is far more advanced than BLC/SWC. You can chose off cutters and leg cutters, as well as how much swing/spin you would like to add. You can vary your speed also with a KM/h reading in the top like on tv, and bowling too fast will cause a no ball to be bowled. These features really bring the bowling to life.

Batting: When I play BLC/SWC I usually only use one stroke, and thats the straight drive. This is because most of the other strokes do not have the correct-lifelike effect of real Cricket. I find myself getting a nick and caught even with correct timing. Cricket 2002 allows shots that can be played to each ball appropriately and they look realistic whereas it seems some shots in BLC/SWC were invented by the designers themselves.

Fielding: see review on link above.
