Cricket 2004 for PlayStation2 and PC commenced development in June 2002 and is due to be released by EA Sports in late 2003. It will feature International and domestic cricket teams plus a wealth of tournaments, stadia statistical and editing options.

The second patch of Cricket 2004 has some major issues with DirectX due to which some graphic cards don't work at all. All this will have to be redone again which should be by the next patch.

Thats actually not true.

Its just a big typo no one bothered to correct. They mean Cricket 2002 not 04. It originally appeared on Cricketweb posted by Yaju I think and refers to the patch for 02 EA brought out.
