You're not going to get even a half decent bat for ?10. Not even off Ebay. I'd just wait and borrow a bat in your game. Save your money and buy a decent bat, you'd just be wasting your money buying a crappy ?10 bat.

Lolz at Giggity, there's no way a bat made by Slazenger, out of Kashmir willow for ?15 is going to have thick edges and a great middle. Buy a real bat.

Aitken and Niven. I bought it from them less than a year ago so they got it sent away to Kookaburra and done for free

Similar to what happened to me recently. My old GN Longbow (2 and a bit years old now) snapped right across the back of the spine (horizontally as the bat is being held vertically, if you see what I mean). I took it back the the shop, who sent it to GN, who sent me a replacement free, just with a better handle than my previous one. They also weighed my old bat and sent me one with the same weight, which really impressed me.
