South Africa board sack coach Mickey Arthur after he racially abused Makhaya Ntini after a training session for South Africa.

He had nothing to say after he walked out of the South Africa Cricket Board(SACB) headquaters in Johannesburg.

The SACB chairman had this to say,"I am appalled by the way Mickey behaved and he deserved to be sacked.I never thought he would do such a thing but it has happened and actions have been taken".

There has been no news of a replacement yet but we believe it could be a young manager that hasn't coached a proffesional side before.

Managers want change to cricket format!
Today the ICC met with all the managers from each country team to discuss a new format of Test and ODI cricket.England's coach Duncan Fletcher proposed the change after he was fed up with watching some teams getting trashed by far better teams.

This is what the Managers proposed:
A 3 leagued format with a top division,middle division,bottom division.
there wil be 5 teams in each division.
win scores 6 pts in test and 4pts in ODI
draw scores 3 pts in test 2pts in ODI
loss scores no points in test and ODI

Test:
every 100 runs in 1st innings gets 1pt.e.g 500 all out=5 bonus pts
every 2 wickets in first innings gets 1pt.e.g 8 wickets=4 pts

Rules:
20 man squad for each series
12 man squad named on morning of match
in ODI's 3 power plays 1 10 over powerplay from the start and 2 5 over powerplays for when the fielding captain chooses

ICC will decide wether to use this format in both forms of the games.

I totally disagree. Treva couldn't have picked a better reason. It's contraversial, its possible and fits in with his story. He isn't being racist in the slightest bit. So don't criticise his story from word one Gilchrist.
