just a quick question:

While playin da game if i want to change my fieldin i can go to field editor ( or watever it is called, by pressin ESC key ) and choose from many of da fieldins which are already pre-set but here's comes my question if i want to customize fieldin postions then how can i do that??

this is wat i mean:
i want to put 2 fielder on the on side and rest all on da off side ( accept keeper and da the bowler ). How can i do dat.

Please tell me in details. All i can see are white dot's which won't move if i want them to!!!!

Thnx for ur time!!

Hi When you get to Field Editor mode keep scrolling or clicking down till you get to Custom Field, there are numerous custom field for you to design.

once i get to custom field i tried clickin on those white dots but nothin really happens....wat are da key dat i have to press in order to change those dots....

Field editor top of p14
press D ... 1-9 move players .... S to confirm changes.
I always use a custom field as it's handy to save runs if or rather when the ball flies past the wicketkeeper by permanently putting a fielder on the boundary.

I always use a custom field for pace bowlers in tests, and all the time in OD matches.

My favourite for quicks is 4 slips, gully, cover, mid off, midwicket and deep square leg. If you put the midwicket in the right place the computer can never get a run through the leg side unless they play way behind square. Anything through the covers goes to the fielder, so all you need to do is bowl full just outside, making the computer play forward to each ball, I get a lot of edges this way.

In ODIs I set up a very unrealistic field, with two men on the cover boundary, one at backward point, one about 10 yards off the cover boundary and all the rest in the covers. No leg side fielders at all. Works a treat if you bowl in the right places, though it doesn't win any awards for realism.
