Overs 1-6 highlights:

1663573118532.png
This may be Montreal's final game of the tournament and they've got a solid start once again in the first 6 overs.

Having lost the wicket of Andre Russell early, Tim David and Tristan Stubbs have kept the scoreboard ticking for Montreal.

While Toronto may have already gained a spot in the semi-finals, they will need to keep all the momentum they can going into it and try to bowl out Montreal.

Overs 7-16 highlights:

1663573560551.png

Toronto stopped Montreal's momentum and have slowed them down.

Ben Stokes not only got the dangerous Tim David out LBW but also ran out Dewald Brevis in the same over.

Montreal have 4 wickets in hand for the final 4 overs, they need to go all out if they want to get to a defendable total; they no longer have any DRS reviews remaining either.

Fall of wickets:

S Yadav6-1355S Yadav (4) J Buttler (1)15.2

DRS used:

6.5: Tristan is given out LBW by the umpire but Tim David gestures to him that he thinks it may have been to high. Tristan goes for the review. On replay it shows the ball was just high enough to hit the stumps but not high enough for it to be umpires call. Montreal lose their first review
10.2: Given out LBW, Tim David the danger man is out. However, he goes for the review straight away. The replay shows there was a spike as the ball was near the bat and Tim survives.
12.1: This is close, but not given by the umpire. Ben Stokes convinces Kohli to take a review as they have a chance to get Tim David out. The replay shows, no inside edge and the ball was hitting the pads first. The ball was pitching in line, the impact was in line and the wickets were hitting. Tim David is out. Great review by Toronto.
14.5: Given out caught behind Babar Azam takes a review. Looks to be a desperate review as there was a clear noise when the ball was passing the bat. On replay there is a spike and Babar has to walk. Montreal lose both their reviews.

David Warner was looking dangerous early on, but he took one too many chances and Ian Holland picks up his first wicket of the tournament.

Toronto have gotten a good start despite losing 3 wickets early. They are on track to chasing down the total.

DRS used:

4.5: LBW shout looks very close, but not given out by the umpire. Babar goes for the review. The replay shows exactly what we expected, it was very close and indeed when the third umpire reviewed it, the on-field umpire has to reverse his decision. Ben Stokes out for a duck.

Toronto must be asking themselves what happened? The answer is obvious Tim David and Rashid Khan.

Toronto lose 5 wickets for 7 runs thanks to Tim David and Rashid Khan.

Montreal have beaten Toronto by 70 runs and kept their hopes for the semi-finals alive, they are still dependant on other teams results as they are way behind on the NRR.

Toronto will need to regroup and figure out where they went wrong if they want to make it to the finals.

Overs 7-16 highlights:

Steven Taylor and Devon Conway had all but stabilized Winnipeg's innings when Umran Malik got Steven out.

The next over a double strike by Yasir Mohammed had all but sealed Winnipeg's fate.

Aaron Jones came out and started smashing the ball all around the park, giving no regard to the bowlers.

Winnipeg will need Aaron to continue if they are to have a defendable total.

Overs 1-6 highlights:

If Brampton thought this chase would be easy, they had another thing coming.

Washington Sundar and Josh Little picked up two wickets each to put Brampton 4 down in the first 6 overs.

Winnipeg however no longer have any reviews remaining after the first 6 overs while Brampton still have 1 left.

DRS used:

0.1: Huge appeal for LBW by Josh, not given by the umpire. He convinces Hardik to take a review but it was a poor decision as they lose their first review.
0.2: This looked very close, but the umpire is not moving. Hardik decides to take a chance on another review, and this time it pays off. The dangerous Corey Anderson is out for a golden duck.
4.1: Will Pucovski reviews the umpires decision for caught behind straight away. He looks confident that he hasn't hit the ball. The replay however shows a spike when the ball was passing the bat and Will has to walk. Brampton lose their first review
5.2: Hardik takes a chance at another LBW shout, this time by Washington Sundar. However, the replay shows the ball was spinning a bit too much as it was missing the stumps. Winnipeg lose their second review.

Overs 7-16.2 highlights:

1663656639523.png
The first 6 overs would've made you think this would've been a close contest.

Winnipeg had taken 4 early wickets and Brampton looked like they were not in control.

Glenn Phillips and Nicholas Kirton changed with their 81 run partnership.

After that Winnipeg had all but lost the game, despite taking 3 wickets in this session they were not able to restrict the scoring rate of Brampton.

Brampton has guaranteed their place in the finals, which unfortunately means the end for Montreal.

Winnipeg still have a glimmer of hope, but in order for them to qualify Vancouver must decisively beat Regina.

So far, Brampton, Vancouver and Toronto have made it through and Montreal have been eliminated. Tomorrow we will find who will make it to the final slot of the semi finals.

Why is Josh Little bowling like Tymal Mills? :crying: Our pacers have been pathetic and batting has been so inconsistent. Honestly, we don't deserve to make it to the semi-finals.

Over 7-16 highlights:

1663749837482.png

Thanks to the efforts of Hiral Patel, Shakib Al Hasan and MS Dhoni; Regina have set a base for themselves to go hard in the final 4 overs and get a huge total.

Neither team have any DRS reviews left.

Vancouver need to get rid of the tail as soon as possible if they want to avoid chasing a big total

6.1: Rusty's first ball of the innings and a huge appeal for LBW, not given by the umpire. Moeen Ali asks for the review and the replay shows that Rohit is out. Great review by Vancouver
10.5: Rusty feels like he's got another LBW, and once again convinces Moeen to take the review. The replay however shows there was an inside edge and Vancouver have lost their second review
13.5: Given out caught behind by the umpire Hiral review it straight away. The replay agrees as there is no spike when ball was passing the bat. Hiral survives.
14.6: Once again given out by the umpire for caught behind and Hiral reviews it again, this time however there is a faint spike and Hiral has to walk. Regina lose their second review

Over 7-16 highlights:

1663751171958.png
If there was one person that Vancouver was counting on to take them over the line in this innings, it was Mohammad Rizwan.

Imran Tahir trapped him for LBW and despite taking Vancouver's last DRS review it was no help.

Now Vancouver's lower order must score the 66 runs in the last 4 overs if they want to win.

13.3: Given out LBW, Rizwan reviews it. He doesn't seem sure himself, however the replay shows the review was a good one as the impact was not in line. Rizwan survives
13.6: Given out caught behind, David Miller asks for a review, however the replay shows a huge spike as the ball is passing the bat. Vancouver lose their first review
14.4: Rizwan out of desperation once again asks for a review of his LBW. This time, he is not as lucky as the umpires decision stands and Rizwan has to walk. Vancouver lose their second review

Over 7-16 highlights:

Pat Cummins had to defend 28 runs in the final over and he did so with ease giving Regina a big win and the huge momentum going into the semi-finals.

Vancouver had already won a place for themselves, however with this defeat they will need to regroup and refocus if they want to make it to the finals.

Winnipeg and Montreal have now been eliminated from this year's tournament and we have now confirmed Brampton will take on Toronto and Regina will take on Vancouver in a rematch from today.
