Dean Jones keen to coach India

I always loved Dean Jones as a commentator....

And I definately think he will be a good coach...

If you don't find it right that a commentator gets a coaching job then why do you want Chappell? He once commentated for Channel Nine, and now commentates for ABC I believe

As I said, Jones has commentated a lot on ESPN-Star. We don't get a lot of ABC or Channel-9 in Asia, not sure if you knew. Therefore I have had more exposure to him as a commentator than Chappell. I have in fact almost never heard Chappell commentate. And at those times that I did see Jones commentate, ESPN made him do a stupid thing called "The Professor" or something like that. It was funny but didn't do much to his reputation.

He may gel well--we will not know unless we select him. Deano is also a bit flamboyant and this may conflict with Ganguly's flamboyance and leadership. Who knows? I don't. Chances are we will find out 2 weeks before India's next series, because that's when BCCI will wake up to the fact that they do not have a coach.
