Story Derbyshire: The Only Way is up an ICC 2005 story

i've decided to do a story and i want a challenge that is why i have chosen Derbyshire the worst team in the comp

I decided we need some batting power so i bought up and comer batsmen Simon Fanning

Big News: Before the first game Luke Sutton and Anthony Botha are out for 4 days and 5 days both with brusing

Lineup game 1:

Game 1: Not a good first innings batting display apart from Fanning who had a reasonable innings and bowling was even worse second innings batting was better ecspecially Bryant and the last 3 the second innings bowling was woeful though

Lungley fires up as he rips through the top 3 in a matter of bowls Welch then took the next 2 wickets to set up 201 for victory Goal 1 complete


'well the batting was piss poor i may see into someone getting axed now i'm not saying any names (Bassano) but i want all you guys to get you act together' we were lucky to get to 45 overs Goal 2 imploded

next game: v Sussex (eek)

Changes: Botha comes in for Gray and Friend comes in for Bassano and will bat at 6th

Goals: get more than 200 (batting first or if target over 200)
get more than 5 wickets (total)
a bowler getting 3+ wickets
win

7 runs short of 200 Fanning will be cut after poor performences Bassano will retain his spot Goal 1 failed

heres the senario 11 runs off 1 over Davis facing 3 overs down and he only scores 2 runs off the over and we win we win :happy Goals 2,3,4 accomplished

Congrads for the first win by Derby !!! its an excellent job defending just 190plus runs and winning that!!!

team changes: Fanning is out due to bad performence and Bassano comes in

first innings bowling couldn't get any better i mean worse we suck didily ucked but when they batted they did the same thing that Morthamptonshire did but better and everyones favourite Di Venuto scoring 102 and Byrant who only i have gone for scoring 104 and the second innings bowling superb mainly Dean though who got 6-49 as they crumbled to 7-180 but were 5-57 at one stage but we let them score though we didn't get a win we got the next best thing a draw :happy

well the batting was ok but the bowling was terrible letting Benkenstein score a hundred was dispicable looks like the bowling needs to be looked at

the first innings bowling was rusty and was lucky not to have 400 put against us and our batting did the same thing as there's did except for the fact there were no centurys the second innings bowling was even worse setting up the batsmen a formidiable total of 357 to win in 2 and a bit sessions but then our batsmen were destroyed by the start of the last session
