Has anyone managed to get the cpu batsmen out - LBW/Bowled/caught behind?

I find that the mode of dismissals in C2005 are random like in C2004. There is rarely a reward for a plan and the dismissals are always caught in the field and very rarely behind the wicket (also edges to slips) and LBW/bowled.

lbw and caught behind have occured to me when im bowling several times, bowled slighly fewer occasions though, but all three have occured.

How do you get the LBW's then?

i find that swing hardly seems to make a difference.

dont use as much power it will swing more
bowled as flintoff over wicket to a leftie pitched well outside off stump inswinging the batsmen played forward defensive missed the edge of the bat by a whisker but didnt miss his off stump clean bowled this was done without alot of power

I dont get that many edges, but you mainly get them when a batsman is just starting in. Also, the key to LNW is as jhnnyby00 said, what you can do is fool them, bowl some fast overs, then throw the odd slower ball in and it catches them out, if the do hit it its usually an edge or a catch.

Thanks guys

I will definitely try out your ideas.

On another note - I would appreciate it if you could also tell me how I can use the special deliviries to my advantage. I dont seem to get wickets with the special balls.

i havent taken any wickets with the fast bowlers special deliverys
the slow ball by the fast med and med is a good one for wickets
also the full flight is a good ball to take wickets with the spinners
i have had numerous wickets with these deliverys
also i would like to note that in the manual it says if u take a wicket with a special delivery u get bowl another one again this only applies if u bowl them out, LBWs and caught do not apply

I got everything except bold ..To get LBW try to bowl all different bowls in a an over and specially after cpu hits u shot ..bowl a slow in swing to it....most of times it get lbw (while playing shot and never in defence) in that way only for me..I do also get less edges in slip..

1. to get a batsman bowled, try bowling a fulltoss ball with a fast or medium fast bowler
2. after setteling the power meter, give the ball a spin (right or left, depending on which delivery youve choosen)
3. the batsman will try to hit, but will shot above the ball and you will hit the wickets.

its a little difficult to explain only with words.

everyone knows that so called cheat or exploiting the ai with that low full toss delivery. I think everyone wants to bowl preoperly and get genuine wickets by getting wickets caught behind or bowl a batsman. One idea which i would liek to add is suprise that batsman with a short ball. Half the time they may edge it or hit it just wide of a fieldsman.

try bowling off spiners to a left handed batsman pitched on or a bit wide his legs spinning on to the stumps and the batsman will play a straight drive and get bold;;
the same is there for a right handed batsman with a slow left arm bowler .either they defend or play a st drive ..and do not bowl like a full toss but just ahed his legs

get a fast or medium bowler pitch it really short swing it and dont put any pace on it this gets up really high ang generally the batsman edges it or gets hit in the head/body

another thing i find is that when im battin or bowling when the batman lbw's it and it is plum its hardly ever given out im not sure if this is a bug or what

some of these suggestions are really helpful. Does the reverse swing option in your opinions have any effect (special delivery for example that is an option for Stephen Harmison)?

everytime i use it they block it all the time as it is pitched at yorker length
