Profile
A wicket-keeper's wicket-keeper and an eccentric's eccentric, Jack Russell was the life and soul of whatever team he happened to be a part of. And by "whatever team" I mean Gloucestershire and England, because in addition to being batshit insane and brilliantly artistic, he was also fiercely loyal. His willingness to stand up to the stumps against all but the very quickest bowlers was the central feature of an era of Gloucestershire domination in domestic one-day cricket in the early 2000s, while his excellence behind the stumps meant that he still managed 54 Test caps despite the selectors' long-standing preference for Alec Stewart's excellence in front of them. Russell is primarily remembered for his personality quirks and smelly kit, which is a thorough disservice to his cricketing excellence. He was eventually forced to retire when it became clear that three decades of crablike batting and crouched keeping had left his body too wonky to ever quite line up again.

Finest Performance
It may seem odd to pick out someone's finest performances in their second-string, but for Russell, it seems necessary. It could easily be his Ashes century against Lawson, Alderman, Hughes and Hohns, or the epic four-hour rearguard against South Africa, but the outstanding performance in my view came against India. Defending a 1-0 lead in the series, England started poorly as their poppadom batting crumbled to 107 for five when Russell came to the crease. By the time he was dismissed (last man, swinging for the hills because Alan Mullally could not be trusted), he had hauled England up to 344 with an ugly, inspired 124. His efforts keeping in that Test were thankless: for some idea of just how dreadful the five English seamers were, 12.8% of India's runs were extras including ten wides. In a Test match. Russell had to do a lot more diving around than any man should. To cap things off, by the time Russell got back to the crease, he had to deal with a match situation of 168 (effectively 94) for six. He did so resolutely, batting for well over three hours without getting bored to accumulate only 38 runs. In that Test, Russell scored more runs than anyone else, batting for nine hours and 29 minutes, in the middle of which he had to run and dive after 169 overs of truly dreadful seam bowling. He salvaged a draw single-handed and was rightly named man of the match.

Ravindrasinh Anirudhsinh Jadeja​

Commonly known as Ravindra Jadeja.He is one of India's prolific test specialist all rounder. He along with Ashwin forms the lethal duo of spinners for The Indian Test Cricket Team.
Currently ranked as the no.2 all-rounder on the ICC players ranking,Jadeja has single handedly helped India win many matches.

He is an all-rounder, who plays as a left-handed middle-order batsman and slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He represents Saurashtra in first-class cricket and the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.

Jadeja caught the attention of the national selectors with his strong all-round showing in the 2008–09 Ranji Trophy – 42 wickets and 739 runs – and was picked for the ODI series in Sri Lanka. His international debut came in the final match of the series on 8 February 2009 where he scored 60*, although India lost the match

In the historic 4–0 home Test series win against Australia in February–March 2013, Jadeja took 24 wickets, dismissing the Australian captain Michael Clarke five out of six times in the series which cemented his place in the team as an all rounder, despite not contributing much with the bat. His seven-wicket haul, including a five-for in the second innings of the final Test match, earned him the Man of the Match award. He played an important role for India in lifting the ICC Champions Trophy 2013. He was the highest wicket taker of the tournament with 12 wickets, which won him the Golden Ball. He made 33* with bat and took 2 wickets in the final against England.

Jadeja scored his maiden test fifty on 20 July 2014, playing against England and saving the match for India who were struggling at 235/7. He made 68 runs from just 57 balls. His partnership of 99 with Bhuvneshwar Kumarhelped India set England a target of 319.

He featured in all four tests against the visiting Australian side. He bagged 25 wickets and made two handy half centuries down the order, which earned him the player of the match as well as the player of the series award in the latest concluded series on 28 March 2017. He is currently sitting on the top of the charts in the list of best Test bowlers.

On 5 August 2017, Jadeja became the fastest left-arm bowler to reach 150 wickets in terms of number of Tests played (32).

On 5 October 2018, he scored his first century in Tests.

Sunil Gavaskar said in March 2013 that Ravindra Jadeja, along with Cheteshwar Pujara, was a role model for youngsters.Jadeja's
contributions in India's 4–0 test series win over Australia in February and March 2013 were praised in the media, and Gavaskar called him one of the architects of the win.

Jadeja's dominance of Clarke was also praised in the media.Jadeja was named Player of the Week by the portal Cricket World after the end of the fourth test.
