Australia Defeated

Australia were on the end of the most embarrasing defeat in cricket history today when the Netherlands beat them by 20 runs, the innings had started brightly for Australia but when the first few wickets began to fall, the crowd sensed an upset and the wickets began to fall, the pressure got to the batsmen and they tried to get quick singles that werent there when they were well up with the current run rate which resulted in the Netherlands dismising Australia for 210 in a contest to rank among the best in cricket history!!! Next for Australia is a ODI Semi against the West Indies.

AUSTRALIA 210 ALL-OUT 41 OVERS

Gilchrist 52 Adeel Raja 2/58
Hayden 52 Kloppenburg 2/61
Bevan 22

Ricky Ponting was speechless and locked himself away in the changing room for 3 hrs with his team contemplating his future as captain.

C.L-Brian its your call(tosses the ball into the air)
B.L-Tails!!!
C.L-Its a heads, Klopenburg you have won the toss what will you do?
J.K-We will have a bat please.

M.N-So congratulations Kloppenburg on your win over Australia how are you feeling now.
J.K-Well we are really on a high but it is important that we play our normal game today and dont get carried away.
M.N-So whats your reason for batting first?
J.K-Well its a nice hard wicket which may offer spin later in the day and we would prefer to bat under natural light rather than the floodlights.
M.N-Good Luck.(Calls Lara over) So Brian your batting under the lights how do you feel.

B.L-Well would would have batted second anyway i am confident we can chase any total set.
M.N-Are you wary of another upset?
B.L-We wont let that happen. After beating New Zealand in the last game chasing we are confident of not only progressing but winning the tournament. No disreect to Holland i wish them luck but i believe 2 games in 3 days against test playing nations may be too much but we will ensure we play at our best.
MN- Good Luck Brain, Hope its a good game. So thats the news from the middle Holland have won the toss and will bat first, the batsmen will be out any minute so we'll take a break, be right back. Dont miss it.

A look at the pitch

Here Comes the Teams

Here Comes the West Indies they will be looking to progress and not succumb like Australia.

And here are the Netherlands openers of Van Nortwijk and the Captain Kloppenburg. They will be hoping to survive the new ball na imposing themselves on this wicket. To help Holland set a decent total to defend.

Here are the two teams.

Holland are unchanged from the win over Australia Zuiderent is in at 3 and will be hoping to make another big score. However the Windies also have a lot of godd batsmen in their side you will also hope to score big and see the West Indies Through.

There is a big crowd in here today and the stadium is buzzing they will hope to see a good days cricket. The atmosphere is always better as well under the lights. Stay tuned for updates.

Holland Update 10 overs played.

Van Nortwijk started off very positively hitting Drakes down the ground for 4 early on off the 3rd bowl of the day.

However just two overs later Van Nortwijk on 10 was caught in front of his stumps by a Collymore slower ball. Zuiderent came in and looked nervous he was eventually caught by Sarwan on 17 with the score on 32/2 after 10 overs.

I will also post some more ingame screenshots as the match progresses, has anybody got ant screenshots they would like to see?
