Domestic sides from England, the World T20 Champions, will unfortunately be missing from the 2010 edition of the Champions League in South Africa.

Due to the scheduling of an Australia - India series later this year, the Champions League has been advanced to early September. The England & Wales Cricket Board issued a notice stating that they could not appropriately adjust their domestic schedule and hence could not give the nod for the finalists of the Friends Provident T20 to participate in the Champions League.

The ECB will be missing out on just under ?1,000,000 while the teams will lose between ?120,000 and ?1,200,000.

Wonder who will replace them. Pakistan team perhaps?

A couple of months ago the PCB chairman ruled out the participation of a team from Pakistan after "the way their players were treated". He was referring to the non-inclusion of Pakistani players in the third edition of the IPL.

I wouldn't be surprised if they add another couple of IPL teams in it :sarcasm

no more IPL teams please, three is enough.
Take one from Pakistan and one from associate nations.

This should hopefully open up room for a second New Zealand team.
Assuming there will be no PAK teams, I'd say it should go 3 IND, 3 AUS, 2 SA, 2 NZ, 1 WI, and 1 SL.

Why do you add a third team from Australia, when you feel its heavy for third team from India?

NSW to defend their titlw although they won't be able to.

And I will never mind if three teams from India because it is the place where the money generates at the highest.
I know there will not be any change in Indian teams till CLT20 goes to ICC, I even think it will not change then too.:p
