How are the orbs rated can anyone tell?

Also, those of you who are new or new-ish here, the colored orbs on the European player lists are to denote the following:

Elite/Legend
Proven match-winners/just short of legend calibre
Gold/Players that are generally expected to be consistent
Silver/Players that are at the very least decent enough to hold their own at top level cricket
Bronze/Players that are either untested at top level but dominant at a much lower level
Unknown quantities. I'd sooner use a bathhouse rug to clean myself than put one of these in my squad.

Top-order
Middle-order
Lower-order

Also I would be cautious before selecting certain players solely based on orbs in those lists because I did them mostly in 2021 with very few recent additions. It's better to look at their recentmost performances

Jeez, should've given a heads up before opening the transfers - the one guy who was online at the same time as you got in before everyone else and swooped up all the good players. Not blaming it on him for being lucky at all, but it would've been nice if we knew when the transfers would begin in advance.
