Hi,

I am a new user of Cricket 2004 and am having some trouble with my batting. Can any of you experts out there help me with some default key combinations that will produce some good shots. I can on hit straight back down the pitch or up in the air!

Thanks.

I have tried that so I am posting here! If you can help with the key combinations I would stand more chance.

thanks anyway man.

Key combinations are in the manual- Hold directional button, press front/back foot to play the shot and hold the six hit button for-- well, a six hit:)

The problem I seem to have is if I play a combination shot my batsman just leaves the ball. Is there a particular sequence you use to hit the keys?

You have to hold down the arrow keys(corresponding to the shot you want eg. down and right = cover drive for a LH batsman), and then when you want to play the shot press front foot/back foot/advance

yup, do exactly as Brad said. Hold the directional keys (Where you want the ball to be hit), then press the Front/Back Foot/Advance Shot key (When the bowler releases the ball)

NB: You have to know when the press the Shot Key by Experience

Tell us the balls and shot your playing to loose your wickets, then people will will be able to help ya out

i had a similar problem early on when i remapped the buttons on my pc it wouldnt let me play any shots where i had to hold down 2 buttons at once the batter just kept leaving the ball...
after i had put it back on default controls all the shot combinations worked...
you havent said anything about having changed the controls but i was just taking a guess as it sounded similar...

He was asking for key combinations, so I don't think he would've remapped the controls

Thanks guys I will give it another try. By the way Yes originally I had remapped the keys.
