I've been to South India twice. I hate it when they put rye and sugar in very other dish they make. Even chole bathure that I ate in bombay were sweet.
Yes spring roll i written spinroll for fun.:laugh chowmine because chowmine is mine i hope you understand i love chowmein i am getting hungry i have to go for food now i think.:sarcasm
anything BONGOLI and gujju is too sweet....BONGOLI dishes just cross the line when it comes to sweetness.
i hate the common misconception that south indian food is just
idli, dosa and sambar !! :
theres SO MUCH more that you can make a whole new menu out of it.
but my fav would have to be north indian food hands down.
Butter Naan with any Paneer gravy sabji or dal makhani, rajma chawal,
dal fry, chole bhature, alu paratha with curd etc etc..
problem with north indian food is that its TOO rich...i,e butter,oil,spices,maida...which also makes it too filling and gives you that BLOATED feeling.
south indian is the best one in the regard. just the right amount of spice, light on your tummy and less fatty
There's nothing like Hyderabadi Biriyani with Chicken Chap. It rocks, man! Oh, and Bengali sweets are amazing as well. Barfi, Rasogolla (not Rasgulla), Pantua...yummy!
