I don't know whether this has been done before but i was just wondering who peoples favourite cricket commentators were. mine is probably Bumble for sheer comedy

I think we do have a thread on this already but nevertheless, I love listening to Hussain, Donalld and Mike Haysman. I also liked Dean Jones as well but he's no longer in the business.

half of england stayed up to watch the ashes! I would actually be curious to know what skys viewing figures were during the ashes.

funnily enough iv been trying to find out this commentators name.

He is an aussie but hes a very loud and animated commenetator.

Please god shut the New Zealand commentators up! PLEASE!

Rameez Raja, Sanjay, and most other commentators are half decent.. Holding is pretty good

nz commentators are funny just cause of their accent - Ian Smith is the guy channel 9 usually gets. In fact he'll probably be here for the ODIs in a coupla weeks.

Generally for those channel 9 viewers, Ian Healy is the best by a long way. Adds humour and original analysis and gets excited when he needs to. Ian Chappell sounds quite boring (prime example being the classic Glenn McGrath catch @ Adelaide to get rid of Vaughan in 02/03, he barely raised his voice) but he likes to bring up interesting issues which is at least different from the usual fan worship we get from most of the other commentators (hello Bill Lawry).

Yup I too like Mark Nicholas' commentary....has a good voice, talks sense, and is unbiased.

Others I like listening to are:
Michael Holding
Ian Botham

And ones I just cant tolerate (mainly because of their highly biased statements):
Ravi Shastri
Pat Symcox
Rameez Raza
Bill Lawrie
Sunil Gavaskar
Ranjit Fernando
Ian Chappell
Bob Willis
Paul Allot
Attar Ali Khan

I like one of the South African commentaitors but I'm not sure what his name is. He was commentaiting in the 400+ run ODI (Aus vs SA).

I think Mark Nicholas has one of those voices who grabs the moment.
