The dream PC you have mentioned is not affordable for most of us :( If i even mentioned it to my parents i know i will be kicked out :p tbh dreaming is good

yeah it will be very expensive, however it is a dream. Soon however it will be normal to go to pc world and by a:

4.0GHz quad core
64GB Ram
Nvidia 512mb graphic card
for £999 with monitor.

What are your first and dream pc's

thats not bad...mine probably is the dream comp. you lised tbh...i mean 5 terabyte hard drive...you will never need to delete anything ever again:p

My First Mac was a Power Mac G4

400 MHz PowerPC G4
128MB Memory
ATI rage 128 (16mb memory)
20GB Hard Drive 5,200RPM
Cd Combo Drive
Mac OS X 10.0 (had 9.1 first)
bought in early 2000

I don't remember the exact specs for my first PC. The things I do remember, though, are:

HDD: 100 MB
RAM: 512 KB
Windows 3.1

It was a Compaq.

My next PC was a big step up with:

HDD: 6GB
RAM: 128MB
Windows ME (yech!)

My current PC is much more up to mark:
HDD: 160GB
RAM: 3GB
Windows Vista Business 64-bit

My dream computer would be the following, even though I dislike Macs:

Mac Pro:
Two 3.2 GHz quad-core processors
32 GB of RAM
4x1 TB 7200-rpm SATA drives
NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 1.5GB
16x SuperDrive
30" Apple HD Display

Totals out to only US$19,798. :D

My first PC was ;)

Pentium 3
20 GB HDD
RAM :128
Windows ME

hmm.. My 1st PC was :

Pentium 1 - 233 mhz (fastest for its class :p)
32 mb ram - later upgraded to 80 mb
4 gb HDD - later added another 2 gb
Aureal Vortex sound card
integrated graphics with 32 mb Vram

My first PC was somewhere down the lines of a P3 500mhz, 64mb RAM, 40GB HDD, Integrated Intel 810 graphics and integrated ac'97 sound. That computer was a real luxury back then, I'm talking about 2000.

My current PC is quite up to technology and can handle all the latest games at my 22" monitor.

Intel E7200 @ 3.6 Ghz
2 GB RAM, Vista 32-bit
P35 Express
250GB HDD(I know I'm running quite low on this. :p)
nVidia 9600GT
Viewsonic 22" monitor

This is going to last me quite a while. For now, my Dream PC(I hate to define it btw) is

Bloomsfield 8Ghz Nehalem 4 core processor with Liquid Nitrogen cooling
16GB RAM (Much more than enough really)
4 x Radeon 5870 x2 or gtx 280 x2
And something down the lines of that.

Well my first PC , which I bought from PC World in 2002/03 was:
AMD Athlon XP 3000+ 2.1Ghz
512MB DDR RAM
GeForce MX 440-SE (WORST CARD EVER)
60GB Seagate HD
Some crappy MIS Motherboard
15" Plasma Monitor
COST - £1000!!
Nothing was overclockable and it wasn't even worth upgrading after 2 years.

I recently had a PC custom made and the specs for this beast are:
Core2Quad Q6600 3.2Ghz with OCZ Vendetta 2 Cooler
4GB DDR2 800MHZ RAM
Ati Radeon 4870 OC
500GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.11
Asus P5Q Pro
CM 690 Case
LG 19" HD TV/Monitor (got my 360/Virgin hooked up to it)
Creative Inspire T6100 5.1 Surround Speakers
COST - £680!

very happy with my new pc both for price and performance. Runs Crysis, Brothers in Arms HH, Far Cry 2, Pes/FIFA 09 etc all on MAX settings at 1440x900 SMOOTH.
