FM11: Real Madrid - Its 'Special' this time!

Mourinho is just snapping up everyone in sight, should be a total different side, look forward to it.

You are using Fifa Manager or Football Manager?? I like the Footbal Manager 2010 way more than Fifa manager 10.

Score how much?? You can always score a duck;)

Now that is tedious :p We had to give chocolates to a kid to keep score when when i was in highschool :D Only boring thing in cricket.

Real Madrid negotiations anger Maicon's agent

The agent of Inter Milan defender Maicon met with Real Madrid on Monday night but emerged from the transfer summit angered by the Spanish club's attitude.

The two parties are still yet to agree on a transfer fee but with Inter willing to lower their ?28 million asking price it seems it is Maicon's ?7 million a year wage demands that are holding things up.

With the already protracted transfer becoming increasingly tedious agent Antonio Caliendo now claims the Brazilian international could remain at the San Siro.

"His stay at Inter is a very concrete hypothesis, seeing that he is very happy in Milan," Caliendo told Eurosport. "Anyway I am very angry with Real Madrid's behaviour towards us."

Maicon has been linked with a reunion with Inter boss Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu since the start of the summer, but Caliendo accused Real of not doing enough to complete the deal.

"If you want to make a certain investment in a player, you also need to make sacrifices as far as the contract is concerned," Caliendo said. "In any case there will be a development this week."

there is always one that has to spoil everything. Real will have to show a sturdy defence against such allogations

gutterman - here comes the defence

Mourinho hits back at Maicon's agent

Real Madrid's new manager, Jose Mourinho, has come out strongly against the comments made by Antonio Caliendo, the agent of Inter Milan fullback Douglas Maicon.

Speaking to the press this morning Mourinho said that no serious talks have been held over the signing of his former player and that the club was only looking at it as an option.

"He is talking as he if has a god-given right to dictate terms to us. But thats not how we work. Maicon is a fantastic player but here at Real Madrid we look [at] what is best for the club first," the Portuguese said.

"Real Madrid have two world class right backs who play for the World champions. Douglas Maicon was an option we were looking at since we were considering the possibility of Sergio Ramos playing in the center, in which case Alvaro Arbeloa would be the only right back remaining."

"It was just one of various options which we are considering but we never put it out as a concrete bid, and Inter Milan have shown no interest in selling him either. Its only the agent who is causing all the problems."

Mourinho then agreed that he is looking at one more defender but in the center.

"We feel we need one more central defender as we now have Albiol, Pepe, Garay and if required Sergio Ramos. We put another person there then it will be comfortable since Real Madrid play in three competitions this season," he added.

Nice update, and Maicon would be a good signing for Madrid. Their defence is probably the one thing that lets them down. They can score loads of goals, but they don't have the World-Class talent in their defence, apart from Casillas in goal.

Excellent Defence. I must say that would be enough to shut any loud mouth up. wonderful creativity as well. good job. I think Maicon needs a new manager.

If you're looking for a striker, the best option is Michael Owen. He is available around 3.5 million and you can finish buisness at 4 million. Anyway, there are 4 strikers already, so might not be necessary.
Strikers:
Cristiano Ronaldo
Gonzalo Higuain
Karim Benzema
Javier Hernandez

Sorry, i don't see Ronaldo as a proper striker, more a right wing player. Higuain is ok, but just isn't up to the standard of Rooney/Torres/Drogba, and Benzema isn't as good as Higuain.

When has Hernandez played for Real Madrid?, he signed for Manchester United, not Real Madrid.

Also, we were suggesting good strikers to him, not ones that are past their best, like Owen. Owen has played for Real Madrid before, and they got rid of him, so i can't see that they would ever try to re-sign him.

There is a guy called Javier Hernandez for Real, he scored a goal for me and is Spanish, also I used Ronaldo as a striker and he played well. Higuain scored a hat-trick for me, but it is true that he is not a good guy.

And it is really tough to do something at 13 million, instead edit the budget and try to get Peter Crouch or Suarez or somebody else.

By the way guys, which one is better? Fifa Manager 11 or Football Manager 11. I'm thinking about getting one of them. Fifa always had the better 3d match engine but thats about it, in other features Football manager win by a mile:p

In Football Manager 2010, Higuain was my top player. He is leading the goal scorers chart for last 2 seasons :yes .

For the midfield, i bought beckham back for just 30 Million. He's playing good:D
