FTP: From the Pavilion general chat

Wow I got accepted overnight :/

Maybe it's because the season has already started?

Could be. Or it could be that FTP is being a bastard to me. I signed up on Saturday night so might be done later tonight.

Accepted for what?

I made 420/6 and bowled them out for 94 with about as bad a team as I could play.

Not bad. But hoping to be kicked out of the PC shortly.

I mean given a team.

I'm not in the Pavilion Cup... I suppose because I'm not ranked high enough?

Yeah. Go to the help thing I think and it will tell you. I lost my cup game badly, only defending 150 as they won by 7 wickets. Made an average pull as well. 16 year old, ordinary bowling, technique, endurance and keeping and average power but only poor fielding.

I guess there's a reason why they tell you check your junk mail folder. Oh boy how shaming.

Nicely done

Chewie added 7 Minutes and 3 Seconds later...

Iridium, once you've bought some players we should have a friendly :)

Got a match against Central Thunderbirds. Set my match orders, set the best lineup I could and hope I don't get thrashed. It's all a bit confusing to me right now but should get the hang of it. I've just left everything at normal and see what that does.

See ya then.

oh wow we're in the same group :laugh

We can still have a friendly if you want :)

ok. You should probably go onto the transfer market and find some good players :) And allocate the correct training to your players.

How should I decide what training to give? Do I work on things in which they have rubbish ratings or train them with regards to what I want to use them for?

You'll want one of the others to reply, but what I did is assign in my head whether a players is a bowler, batsman, keeper or all-rounder then give training based on that. Technique should be close to their primary skill as well. There are a few guides around the place which I read.

For new players, train on primary skills or the technique if the technique is more than a level below their primaries. And just get reliable primary players. Anyway, nice being in the same group.
