Iridium XI won by 211 runs

Pretty straightforward win. Batted first and got off to a brilliant start thanks to a 299-run opening partnership between Lindsay and Goodwin. Both managed to notch up big tons with Lindsay getting 137 from 122 and Goodwin 150 from 105. The middle order suffered a little bit of a wobble, but some late striking from Poole pushed the score to 405/5.

Wickets came regularly enough when we bowled, eventually dismissing Wellington Firebirds for 194. Maxwell Phelan the best of the bowlers picking up 4/33 from 10.

This win now takes me to the top of the table. Managed to accumulate a healthy NRR as well.

BTW, how often do you see this. My batsmen, Khan, dismissed like this:

I batted first in my OD match, nearly everyone got a start with 4 fifties, but no one could turn it into a century. Everyone batted at a strike rate of over 100 though, and we eventually made 443/8.

Bowling-wise, everyone contributed well with the ball, including recalled RF bowler Doctrove who took 2 early wickets and a run out. We eventually bowled them out for 108 to win by 335 runs

I'm not top of my OD table, with two people on one loss close behind. I should be able to beat them though (and indeed have already beat one of them). Should be easy for me to get promoted from here

The two close behind me have match ratings of about 80k though so they're not too shabby. I would have thought there'd be more active people at the fifth tier but obviously not. Will have to wait until I advance

31.1 W Thakur to Sehwag : Controversy here as Sehwag refuses to walk! Snicko is inconclusive, but Sehwag clearly felt there was no edge. Eventually he trudges disconsolately back to the pavilion, but the Match Referee may have something to say about that little episode!

FTP to me just looks so much cleaner than Battrick. I haven't tried it in depth, so I'm only commenting on how it looks. I do like how BT has a FC comp. I reckon if FTP includes that, it will be awesome.

@Chewie: How did you end up debuting in the 5th tier while everyone else seems to have started at 6? Is it a random sort of thing?

I agree, the one thing that BT has over FTP is that it has FC. But FC would get a bit boring if the matches were as one-sided as my T20 and OD games have been. Would be kinda cool scoring triple centuries though...

I'm not sure, I think it's based on where the team I take control of is.

Nice addition to the squad before my game against Varun on sunday. Now that i got 6 good bowlers, i can start rotating them to keep them fresh. Yay:banana2
So the first bowler to get the rest is youth player "Lawrence Wilkins".

Just need to get a keeper and my squad would be complete
