game doesn't start after editing player names

just edited the player names by going to c/program files/blc07/data/Gui/playerandteaminfo.bag. As it is an unknown application i opened it with the NOTEPAD and edited the player names.Now when i tried to run the game it does not start. Please give a detailed instruction to be done to run the game. someone plz help me

Use Player Editor (or a hex editor) to edit the names. Saving it in notepad is causing it to corrupt as it doesn't recognise some of the characters.
