Gamespy down?

Hi

Gamespy not letting me register or retrieve lost passwords, half the site seems to be down, or is it just me? Are people getting on okay? Are there any alternatives?

You can play via IP. We're looking at setting up a shout box so people can register their interest in playing online games by posting in there rather than starting a new thread.
Gamespy is letting me login but there's only one other person in there so I guess the chances are that people are having probs.
Someone on here also recommended Hamachi as being faster and more reliable than Gamespy.

Sure, but then don't you have to know each and every IP? I guess we could arrange games on here or over MSN

Hamachi looks awesome, I think thats the way forward, playing with just the guys on PC you know, like a kind of gaming MSN messenger

Hamachi is faster...i just tried it last night through both gamespy and hamachi...gamespy took longer to be launched and crashed soon after the 1st delivery.
hamachi on the other hand is faster and the only thing that has to be done is give out the ip or the room name thats all
