There are several commentary patches on Vineet's site, which may cover some of the missing players. However, they can be tricky to install if you've got the WCEXP. You'll need Tom Hicks editor. This editor is only compatable with the original games teams.tem, so you'll need one from the original game, ie. one with Scotland in it.

If you want to do it, I can give you a step by step guide.

As you've been told before, this is completely impossible.

It involves:-

Changing a tournament format, which is impossible
Changing the structure of a match, which is also impossible.

Again, we told you last time that this should go on the Cricket 2004 wishlist, which you did. It is not at all possible to do this.

You don't seem to appreciate just how hard it is to edit Cricket 2002. We can edit the kits, because they're just graphics files, we can edit team details easily, because they're just files. We can edit team names, because they're encoded in the exe.

Tournament and match formats are also encoded in the exe, but not in the same way as team names. Editing them would involve changing the source code itself. Electronic Arts are never going to release the source code so that we can do this.

Changing the commentary when using the WCEXP

1. Back up the names.pak file
2. Get a teams.tem file with Scotland in it
3. Note down the full squad in the WCEXP that you wish to add commentary too.
4. Run Tom Hicks editor.
5. Select the teams.tem file with Scotland in it
6. When you get to the squad you want to change the commentary for note down that squad, and work out which player in the original squad corresponds to which player in the new squad.
7. Install the commentary (that bits simple)

I have installed both the county patch & the forum team patch, when I try to select players after selecting PAKISTAN as a user team, It comes out in the window. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

how can i change the bats. i downloaded the slazenger bat.zip. it has batreadme.txt, readme.txt, Slazenger V1200 Ultimate Cricket Bat.png files. which file do i have to extract in which folder. During extracting the Slazenger V1200 Ultimate Cricket Bat.png file do i have to change its name to Bat.png or not?

Well check what the bat file in the tex02 texture is called, and rename the one in the zip to that file name.

the folder tex02 contains the Bat.png file (the default Ea bat) I extracted the Slazneger Bat in the tex02 folder with no change in name i.e Slazenger V1200 Ultimate Cricket Bat.png
but it didn't work.
i also changed its name to Bat.png but it also didn't work.

if you say then i can give the bat.zip here for download. you use it, & then tell me where i am mistaking.

the tex02 folder is for tests.

For ODIs put in tex02a and tex02b.

I extracted the file into tex02a & tex02b by changing its name to Bat.png & it worked. thanks again. :
