Good sign. Should see if this brings him back to form!

If he behaves like he did the last time he played county cricket, Glamorgan will be glad to see the back of him come July.

5 years on and now he is one of the most successful international captains, I just don't see how things can be the same. Yes there may have been some problems last time, may be he wasn't prepared for the different atmosphere/culture.
But the kind of person Ganguly is he will always work for the team and back youngsters. even then - if I remember correctly he was first to point out that Flintoff is a talent in the class of Tendulkar etc. will definitely follow how he and the team do in the season..

It was actually Wasim Akram who identified Flintoff.

Getting used to the culture is a reasonable excuse for some things, but it is not a reasonable excuse for frequently missing training, barely speaking to the other players and doing pratically nothing with the team's youngsters. It got so bad later in the season that his Lancashire team-mates refused to come out on the balcony to appluad a Ganguly century.

Yup. I second your point. 5 years can bring out a world of change into him. I dont see him behaving the same way as he did before.

I think Glam should make Saurav captain instead of that "good for nothing " Robert Croft.

Also he wasnt in that poor a form last time around for Lancs. It was just that he didnt gel enough with fellow players.

But hope he does this time around.Wishing him the best of luck.

I think that's a very strange decision to sign Ganguly. Glamorgan aren't exactly a team that is brimming with confidence at the moment, and to sign a player who can't be feeling all that good at the moment seems very odd. If it works out then i'm going to look like abit of a fool, BUT, I think thats a very big if.

Robert Croft is "good for nothing"? I suppose captaing his side to the National League title last year is a pretty useless performance.

What have they done, what have they done? I can only hope that Ganguly finds his form in a country which he has performed well in, most of the time. At least get some sort of confidence back before missing the first matches of the August tri-series.

Gunguly will return to form. He'll be the tiger again!!!

Ganguly bashing will be over!

and my sig!
