Graphic glitch

hey guys.

I just picked up cricket 2002 in the bargain bin. It works pretty well an has a lot of room for customisation. It seems however, to have one annoying graphics glitch on my computer. The white dots on the field that demarcate the fielding circle, have 'rays' of white lines the run to the edge of the viewable area. I have a Leadtek geforce 2 MX400 with 41.09ME detonator drivers and dx8.0a. I run ME with 128MB of ram. Any suggestions would be useful. I've tried different modes (bilinear, Trilinear etc), but none make a difference. None of the options in the display panel work. I have antioscoptic filtering on 2X in my geforce control panel (my only options are 2x or off) but antioscopic filtering isn't listed in the game as an option, even though it mentions it in the manual. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Maybe the graphic's file that is used for fielding markers?
Thanks,
Andy

There is no Anisotrophic filtering in the game, by the way. Your problem is unusual and I'm unable to help you because I've never had problems

Hi Andy,

You can try the following:

1.Update to the latest drivers from Nvidia or Guru3d (download the 42.xx series)
2. Shut down anistropic filtering, as Cricket 2002 doesn't support it.

I think that should work(at least partially).

Guys, thanks for responding. I will download the new drivers. Its time anyway I guess. My ideal way of fixing it would be to delete (ok maybe not delete but modify) the fielding circles file, but I can't find it. Anyone who knows where this file might be located, please give me a shout.

Umm, Ritwik? <_< I thought the anisotrophic filtering was the one which took the "loading back from game" menu problem.

Andy, I'm not sure what you meant by circle files but I can point you to the field placing files (I don't think that's much help) and also I can point you to the stadium files.

x is the main Cricket 2002 Directory

field placing files:
x\data\Editor\1day\
x\data\Editor\Test\

Stadium main folder: (click on the names for the respective stadium files)
x\data\models\stadiums\

Hope this helps! :D

No, I believe that shutting of anistropic filtering helped in that case. Anyway, you can just try it and see if it works.

Yeh they antioscopic stuff was just from another guys who said turning it on should cure any graphic glitches. I've made another discovery in that these circles are also the ball locater if that is turned on. I've turned it off but they're still there. I've attatched a screenshot as well (I hope) showing the problem.
Thanks,
Andy

It's true that the game doesn't support any sort of filtering. But anisotropic filtering can be get through driver settings. Note the difference here..
