Ground shots

I dont understand whats wrong with the game , theres no proper option for playing ground shots , it says play aggresive ground shots by holding both r2 and l2 but i keep getting caught and bowled, how do i play ground shots example straight drive?

Ground shots are played using left stick (footwork) and right stick (direction in which you want to play the shot) without using L2/R2 trigger buttons. As zimrahil mentioned above, try to play a tad late so as not to hit the ball in the air.

The R2 trigger also reduces the power of the shot based on how far you've pushed it in, so a push for a single is possible.

Yes a feather on the defensive trigger does help and you can get a few singles this way. Will be more useful when lazer throws are reduced in the patch.

Ultimately it is about timing - if you spoon the ball up and watch a replay its almost always batsman error playing the shot too early or playing a back foot drive to a rising ball. My issue is the camera angles really. I cant predict the angle of the ball on bowler behind because of the camera. Batsman behind is still best for me but any delivery in line with the player obscures the pitch.

Under options/graphics you can choose to make the batsman transparent.
