In celebration of our women, not today but everyday.
IMD HomeSeriously, why do we need a separate day to celebrate women and not men?
This is some serious sexist bullshit.

Umpires are known for their unbiased opinion, great piece. The patriarchal way society is set up, we get 364 days of the year. I don't think one day for women a year is totally out of line. Remember that privilege it very difficult to see by those that have it.
Calling IWD sexist is akin to calling Black History Month racist, or calling it bigoted for Irish to celebrate St Patrick's Day. Women in much of the world will live shorter than men, despite biologically being built for longevity. Usually will earn far less than men for the same job. Will be expected to change their name when they get married, will be the victim of domestic violence, be judged on appearance for everything and so on. And that's ignoring parts of the world where oppression is overt, like women can't drive, be out by themselves etc. Everything is geared up for a male dominated culture that makes IWD a great thing.
But regardless, if men feel short changed, there is an international men's day, Nov 19th...
