Hayden Vs Sehwag Vs Bale

Christian Bale. He just needs a new Batman-voice in the next Batman film, and he'll be okay.

It's almost like you and Ben were made for each other. Each trying to out-do the other with myopic posts. :)

When you can't beat them, copy 'em and hope you irritate them to no end...

Wish I had thought of it earlier :( :p

To actually address the topic I suppose you'd have to look at them at their best. I think Sehwag has made bigger hundreds and scores faster but Hayden was able to dominate the bowlers more.
Tough call on who is best but I'd go with Sehwag.

No wonder you are Admin. You are always right. :hpraise

Let Benden come up with a definite proof of a match-altering innings like Sehwag's 300 against Pakistan, or 300 Vs SA, or 83 Vs England, or 150 at Adelaide 2008....

Minus that minnow-bashing 300 from Hayden's record and the rest is average. Flat pitch minnow basher in my honest opinion. India is an obvious exception though.

Oh no, he did not just say that! Here'll come Ben with that one century of Hayden's against Pakistan and one series against South Africa claiming that that is enough to place him as the God amongst all men to step on a cricket field...

This has been a turn up for the books hasn't it. Me and Ben consistently on the same page, can't think of an argument we've had for at least 3 days. Ben'll be right here though, Hayden's easily the best opener of the current generation, and personally I can only name 1 or 2 openers in the history of the game who are better. Hayden averaged 58 in Tests at his peak, and was brutal in his assault of bowling attacks. The only 2 places he's struggled in are England and New Zealand, but he's barely played in New Zealand, so that can't really be included in an argument against him.

Hayden and Sehwag both dominate attacks, but Hayden has done it on a far more consistent basis for decades. Sehwag's a flat track bully.

Hayden IS the flat track bully.

What is his record in swinging conditions?

What do you consider swinging conditions? Does it not swing in Australia?

Also, if anyone struggles in swinging conditions it's Sehwag. At least Hayden's got some footwork, Sehwag relies purely on his hand-eye co-ordination and bowlers bowling short and wide. As soon as Jimmy Anderson worked that out, and bowled inswingers into his pads, he started to struggle. Hayden's a far better player than Sehwag.

After 66 Tests Hayden had an averaged 3 higher than that of Sehwag, and had also scored 5 more hundreds. His ODi record is unbelievably better as well, with Hayden averaging 12 runs higher than that of Sehwag, and 3 more hundreds.

Averages over 50, with 30 Test Hundreds. Not a bad effort. The new ball always swings you idiot.

I play higher class cricket then you so I wouldn't expect you to know much about cricket. You're merely a footprint in the sand.
