Gavaskar is miles ahead of Hayden.Hayden by miles. His made like twice as many hundreds as Sehwag?
Wouldn't Gavaskar vs Hayden be better?
When you can't beat them, copy 'em and hope you irritate them to no end...It's almost like you and Ben were made for each other. Each trying to out-do the other with myopic posts.![]()
No wonder you are Admin. You are always right. :hpraiseTo actually address the topic I suppose you'd have to look at them at their best. I think Sehwag has made bigger hundreds and scores faster but Hayden was able to dominate the bowlers more.
Tough call on who is best but I'd go with Sehwag.
Hayden IS the flat track bully. This has been a turn up for the books hasn't it. Me and Ben consistently on the same page, can't think of an argument we've had for at least 3 days. Ben'll be right here though, Hayden's easily the best opener of the current generation, and personally I can only name 1 or 2 openers in the history of the game who are better. Hayden averaged 58 in Tests at his peak, and was brutal in his assault of bowling attacks. The only 2 places he's struggled in are England and New Zealand, but he's barely played in New Zealand, so that can't really be included in an argument against him.
Hayden and Sehwag both dominate attacks, but Hayden has done it on a far more consistent basis for decades. Sehwag's a flat track bully.
Averages over 50, with 30 Test Hundreds. Not a bad effort. The new ball always swings you idiot.Hayden IS the flat track bully.
What is his record in swinging conditions?
