Help!! BLIC Demo Hangs

It always hang after I select the teams and click to start the game and I always have to restart the computer.

It use to run initially but after I did a fresh installation of Win98SE, this problem occured. I uninstalled and then reinstall it, reinstall directX 9.0c but the problem persist.

I am running Win98SE, IE6, DirectX9.0c on a Athlon XP 2000+, KM2M Combo Motherboard (VIA KM266 Chipset), 256 MB (266 MHz DDR), MSI GeForce4 MX 440SE (64MB), Inbuilt AC97 Audio, Creative SBPCI64 Soundcard (For Gameport).

Any help would be appreciated.

i think it might be your OS the specs look fine to run the game.

I am sure too that it is some system files that is causing the problems. I wish I knew which one.
