great writing mate, i've not read the story in a while, but it's improved so much. it's very enjoyable to read, and you get the mix of humour and seriousness just right.
No doubts that you are getting better in photoshop And regarding the deadball ( some updates before ), I have seen the similar one in IPL & commentator also shouted - " How the hell he can bowl such a dead ball, first one I see in my entire cricket history. ". I don't remember the bowler name.
Wonderful works, don't worry about the time. As long as you are continuing this & give treat to us by your writing, its fine
i think that chris may have seen a bar, and decided to get hammered before coming back to bat, putting his pads on upside down, and forgeting to put a box in, then getting a ball from a bowler, and taking it where the box is meant to protect.

Well 7 overs in and 61/1, I reckon we had this one but disaster struck. White hit a careless shot in to the air and was caught for 29. This meant I could be in next wicket if Chris didn't show up.
"Jason, you're not in soon, go have a search around the ground for that bastard!" The skipper's bad temper wasn't helped by the fact that we'd just lost our best batsman.
I felt butterflies form in my stomach. Vikram Miller could go in any minute now and Chris might not show up and I'd be in. The first ball to Miller was a no ball which was just going down leg. the next was a full yorker that was close to being an LBW then on the third ball he somehow managed to scrape a single from a lightning quick ball.
And then it happened. Pipe was on strike looking rather confident, the ball was quicker than he expected and hits hi on the pad. Shouts went up from the fielders and the umpire took his time, I was praying and hoping it wouldn't be given, then sure enough the umpire annoying raised his podgy finger.
"No sign of Chris, skip!" Jason looked out of breath and was panting. "Well Drake get your pads on then, son" The Captain said to me smiling.

Sorry this update is so short, Twice this week I didn't save the original chapter and got rather frustrated. On the third attempt I started I left and forgot about only to realise this morning that I hadn't updated the story in over a week and I'm suppose to be leaving for the airport in half an hour Unfortunately I'll be away for the next week and a half and won't be able to update the story.
Well hello everyone, It's been a while. Recently I've had no access to the internet at home which is why the story stopped I got internet about a week and a half ago so that's why I'm back here. In my brief absence I continued to write rough copies of the next few parts so I'll be uploading those soon. I would've done it at the local internet cafe but they're computers wouldn't read my USB for some reason . Either way expect more updates in the near future.
