The thing is, this game is just like real life. When in good form you tend to score easily and freely, but as soon as your form go down you tend to get yourself out the whole time. I was cruising and scoring 50s without problems and suddenly I can't play spinners. I am an opening batsman and do well against the fast bowlers, but as soon as the spinner comes on I am caught behind within 3 balls. According to me I haven't changed anything in the way I bat. I am even edging them from defensive Shots!

I have hit another drop in form after a promising beginning to post-patch ps3 gameplay. Averaged 35ish in FC through 10+ innings at the end of last season and came close to a century. In the new season though I've hit a roadblock and looking at sub-20 averages in FC and List A (nearing the English T20 comp) with zero 50's almost through the first half of the season.

Strangely, I have started to feel like I'm a sitting duck outside off stump just waiting to feed the keeper/slips with edges - whereas during my strong finish to the previous season I was playing freely around the wicket (admittedly with some falling short and/or wide of the slips/keeper). I am wondering if there has been a subtle change to my timing or footwork over the past while, or perhaps I followed a streak of good luck with a streak of poor luck.

Have been making regular starts at least, and took two MoM awards in List A with 30-40 runs and a couple wickets per game (I am specialist #5 bat but regularly bowl 3-6 of the death overs in List A).
Yup, same here.. Quick question, I am now playing ipl for rcb. I was starting to find it easy n i was playing pro. Scoring boundaries at will. But suddenly I find it hard to play. Need to take time and play carefully. Has my level gone up? My helmet says 4... A quite a few 50s on the go but no 100s.. and string of low scores as well.. Not sure either its the timing or I have to improve to the higher level... any thoughts?

IPL counts as an international match, so you get the same difficulty bump as if you were playing a Test/ODI/T20I
That means I move from Pro to Veteran? And what does 4 in the Helmet mean Matt? Thanks mate..

This is a big bummer...why would IPL count as an international match???? Its a domestic league - hence INDIAN premier league

No, When i played ipl in my second career , difficulty was same. It only increases when you play International matches.
and ipl dont count as Internationals .

Opened my Big Bash League with my new career player on pro with 2 x 50s. Scored my 2nd 50 in 16 balls. Not really the way I normally bat but held the wrong trigger to start my innings and it went for six so I decided to continue being aggressive. In my next innings though was out quickly so today I will be back to being calm and try to bat out the 20 overs.

Small query, I restarted my career with the age of 21 on Pro but 2nd year into my career i have been installed as the skipper for my state team and got selected for my national team having also completed the bars of Front foot, Backfoot, Straight bat and On side and almost 60 percent completed the other batting skills.. Regardless of these skills the rating on my helmet isn't going anywhere close to 4. And iam pretty confident that i may have breached the 5 star ratings. Any clarification would suffice.

Had my best overall match till date. (I play as FM bowling all-rounder batting at 5)

In an FC game for Sussex, we go up against Somerset. We won the toss and went in to bat. I come in to bat 100+ for 3 and went on to score 60+ score before I pull into short leg's chest which then carries to the bowler and I'm out c&b :(.

Then, after we post of a decent score of around 400 I get to bowling crease once Somerset have massed up 100+ opening partnership. Bowling my fast medium, after getting two to go away from Trescothick I get one to come back in and see the middle stump cartwheel back. So S.A.T.I.S.F.Y.I.N.G. Being all pumped up from breaking the opening partnership I go on to pick up career best 7-for.

After their last 3 batsmen put up fighting 150 amongst them, I go out to bat to set a good target. Amassed career best score of 92 before nicking one to WK.

Chasing 350 in 2.5 sessions and with all 4 results possible, I'm not introduced into bowling till they get within 200 of target. In the first over, I leak for 11 runs and only after 1 more over, I'm removed from the attack. Now, with 12 overs remaining, I'm brought back into attack with 4 wickets to get and 50 runs to defend. Lo and behold I end up getting the last wicket in the second last over of the game to complete a 4-for and a overall brilliant game.

Yet again, kudos to @BigAntStudios and the team.

I've got my new glasses, and I now score 20 to 40 most innings (Pro), as opposed to 5-10 prior to that. If I could stop premeditating short balls and getting bowled or LBW, I'll be flying. Another big change was to get rid of the aerial ball marker, makes it much easier to see where the ball is going to land. One thing i'd like to do, but can't, is to get rid of the ball trail as well, but if I do that I'll never know where the ball's gone when I hit it.

Having endured a difficult English T20 comp (best games 40* / 4-8, and 20 (5) / 2-12), back to first class where i haven't achieved much this season. First innings caught behind 2nd ball for zero. Second innings came in at 21/3 - still more than 100 behind. Now resuming on 53* (135) in the morning session day 4. Lead by 104 with 4 wickets left (Roderick made 105 (77) at the other end). Hoping to push lead past 200 and save the game....

[edit] bowled through the gate by Jackson Bird 15 balls later, attempting a forward defensive for no extra runs. Somehow won the match by 6 runs however with 35 minutes left. Well worth the effort!
