Another Century this time on P40, Came at a crucial stage of 8-2, took some time to get in as soon as the pitch conditions were comfortable went the fast forward way in the innings....
It was really a quickfire innings as majority were medium paced so was easy to judge the length and time the ball well....:D

2015-05-07_00014.jpg

Continued playing the shots whenever it was possible and rotated strike which was very important in the partnership we had and reached century...

2015-05-14_00001.jpg
Another thing which becomes most crucial thing which needs to be done in any format, creating partnership, had one which increased the run rate of the team and enabled us to post a huge total in the match...

2015-05-14_00002.jpg
When things were starting to look good had a very bizarre run out where the ball was thrown from deep wicket region to the bowler and the bowler threw a direct hit on the striker's end which I did not expect, hence end of the innings at 119...Really wanted to play the full quota of 40 to make a big score....

2015-05-14_00003.jpg

You can see that I have just pressed the slide button and it has hit the stumps already , as said before unexpected...

Either I am in really good form or scoring centuries is easier on PC than the console version....

Registering another century this time as a captain, so extra special...Had a steady start but partner on the other side had a T20 mood and was slogging the ball all over, reaching his 50 at a great pace and the fun thing was he came in when I was in my 20's and scored his 50 when I reached only 42 and he dominated in the amount runs contributed in the partnership we had...:D

2015-05-15_00001.jpg
Then as he was really in good touch started giving him majority of strikes and we reached our 100 partnership at a great pace....More of a ODI kind of batting...:p

2015-05-15_00002.jpg
Soon reached 50 as well....Few escapes as well in that 50, one edge going through vacant second slip region and another good delivery which was mistimed by me to the leg slip was dropped....

2015-05-15_00003.jpg
Soon after De Bruyn got out edging one to WK, was a good delivery but could have stayed to complete his century....As you can see he was really in T20 mode in his whole innings I have never seen an AI play such a way in first class match...Had a partnership of 139 with him....:)

2015-05-16_00001.jpg
Later came J.Roy who was also feeling the same like De Bruyn...I continued the innings and reached my first century as a captain....:D

2015-05-16_00002.jpg
We both reached our 50 partnership and got out when I least expected slogging one to the point region which was caught by a fielder in the deep cover fielder....Missed on 150....

2015-05-16_00003.jpg
After the finish of first innings bowled them out and made them follow on and they had a lead of 89, so with 90 to win in the second innings I came in when 12 runs were needed, just slogged and finished the match with a good win...

I also find scoring 100s on PC easy(no exp on console).

but form also plays a imp role too

Played one of my best innings in test against AUS getting 282 in a wearing pitch on legend.

Went in to the 3 test series 0-1, having score 70 and 30 odd in that lost match. Put in to bat was looking to stick around and get a good total in first innigns, facing the pace trio of mitch, harris and pattinson played cautiously and prodded along to 95 when i got out to a stupid ondrive to a watson angled across outswinger, felt really frustrated at having thrown it away after all the hardwork.

2015-05-14_00009.JPG

Still kohli got a century and put the team to a respectable 434, but aus made short work of it with three of their batsman scoring century and getting to 565.

IND started second innings well with century opening stand between vijay and dhawan, when vijay got out and i walked in 3rd session of 3rd day with the series lingering on this innings, after having got out after all the hardwork in first innings i was determined to smash it around this time and started well, when Dhawan got runout and i was joined by Kohli, for once i started hitting it over Harris Johnson or pattinson without much regard and made a quick fire 50 [32] balls.

then Harris pegged back control of the match with quick wickets of Kohli and Rahanae, even as i smashed my way to a hundred of 67 balls

Then Dhoni played a nonsense shot of the penultimate ball of the day pulling to midwicket. AS the match resumed on Day4 i settled into a more responsible role of trying to last as much as possible and score runs as our lead was still very negligible.

Lyon took Jadeja early in the day with a pass ball tactic between him and the short leg fielder.(this needs to be reduced)

output_fIRffN.gif

then i got to 150 then at 162 got trapped to a curveball low full toss of lyon and thought i was goner but decided to take a chance with DRS and survived.

output_CDwkv9.gif

by now ashwin and me had settled into a partnership, clarke got desperate and reviewed one going totally away form me for LBW and lost the review.

2015-05-14_00057.JPG

Lyon struck again getting Ashwin one short of his fifty and Bhuvi just before lunch.

2015-05-14_00051.JPG 2015-05-14_00052.JPG

after lunch i resumed hitting mixing caution with aggression covering ishant from strike bowlers as new ball was taken. then finally got to my double.

output_xG3QVl.gif

from then on Ishy and me just kept ticking along as we saw through the second session of Day -4 without further damage with me on 252 and Ishy on 60s , I entered into the third session looking to blast some runs get a 300 if possible and put Aus in by the end of the day.

The pitch visibly started slowing down when i was around 260 odd, at first i thought it was bowler fatigue but then saw that they were still bowling at good speeds of 140+ but the pitch was slowing down and i was missing a few shots which i was timing superbly earlier..
then i finally got out at 282 missing one due to the slowness factor of the pitch to a very marginal LBW but still felt very satisfied to play such a good innings in a crunch situation in the series pulling the team to 600+. To play for 3.5 sessions in stretch felt really good and draining (almost 3 hrs in realtime).

Would have declared but waited for ishy to get his century, then the indian attack got through Aus batting line up on the final day to put the cherry on top of the cake and we won comfortably( was really happy to see the simulation engine working well)

We went on to win the series in the next match comfortably though i got out in 30s in the next innings, got 90 NO to take the team to victory in the second innings. Ended the series as the highest run scorer.
One of the best test series i have had in career.

Awesome mate, surely would have felt really good on such an effective innings, the game feels new and fresh when such things happen ,it just feels right...

Yeah it does but the most important thing is that with PC on the latest patch balls on off stump line are more whereas its more mid and leg stump on previous gen consoles which is a huge factor in scoring the big runs...

Next match P40 started well scoring 26 off 17 balls and got out to a very good delivery, was an inswinger which swung after pitching which got me and we lost the match, seems like the team depends too much on my batting....:)

2015-05-17_00004.jpg

This time a county match and had extra bounce on this pitch so had to be sure on which deliveries to hit, so got back to defensive mode and started slowly....As the pitch had good extra bounce I changed my strategy to play everything on the backfoot with occasional front foot on fuller deliveries, feels different all together [That's the beauty of DBC]...

To show that the pitch had more bounce and being in good form you tend to see the ball better, here's a pic to show that...[It would have been nice if leave animation happens if we normally leave it without playing any shot]..

2015-05-18_00001.jpg

The above pic was a good length ball which was over the stumps, so leaving ball confidently was effective, as the extra bounce can be easily edged when not played properly...

Got a partnership of 100 with Smith where I scored 41 off them [Did not take the 100 partnership screenshot but below is 50]...

2015-05-18_00002.jpg

And after some leaves and rotating strikes with the occasional boundary reached another 50...Was a very different innings from the previous ones as I just took the role of rotating strikes and giving Smith the majority of strikes....

Nearing the end of my first season as spotty 16 yo (no offence any 16yo reading this!!) and I suck. Bowling (leggie) is ok, keep it tight but don't take enough wickets so don't bowl much (skipper hates me!!), but batting :( :( I SUCK. I was awesome at Lara, but this is proper. I could def do with another 1/10th before deciding on footwork and shot selection, and timing on slower bowlers is difficult. However, I do feel that with practice I will get the hang of it. Reading the many posts from others has really helped tbf (although mildy irritated by those that can score 50's after a few hours!!), anyway time for another net!!

i'm nearing retirement on career mode, just have about 1.5 years left. started of the career on veteran difficulty as a 27 years old all rounder who bats 1 down at the batting line up. only played ODI's/T20I's and simulated the rest. stats looks decent enough as of now. with 42 hundreds and 59 fifties with an average touching close to 65 after 182 One Day International matches.

i've captured the video of my latest match against sri lanka where i scored 155, if anyone want to watch here's the video. sorry its the full match. i suck at video editing.

Continued the innings from 56 and was again a conscious innings leaving balls and rotating strikes...Reached our 200 partnership soon...Another 200+ partnership this time with Smith dominating with the majority of runs....As you can see in the pic only 77 out of the 200 partnership...:)

2015-05-19_00001.jpg

After a good patient innings got out on 84 off 120 balls, missed out on another century for sure...Got out edging one to slips....

2015-05-19_00002.jpg

[It would have been nice if leave animation happens if we normally leave it without playing any shot

I have been working on that recently, i tried configuring LB as leave and seems to have some good feel to batting being able to judge and leave balls. Will update further on this soon.

Best ODI score to date ended up holing out to long on for 279. Played South Africa. Team went on to score 450.
