Hi All,
As you know, I have just returned from the speedway.
Well, I must say that I was disappointed with a few events that occurred before and after the speedway.
For the first time in 8 years there were 2 negative points of the weekend.
Me, my mum and dad, along with my 2 brothers (one is 10 and one is 13) and we were about the board the train at Bridgend. When my brother walked past to go to the toilet (he had an England flag over his shoulder with Scotty Nicholls on the side) he was abused by 2 welsh men who turned round and shouted abuse at him, the words "F*** off you Pommy B******s" and "F*** off back to England you b******s" My dad of course was furious, and he went to speak to a member of the station staff who turned round and told him they couldn't do anything (bear in mind the guys were drinking) he said if they called the police at Cardiff they would stop them, but when we got there not 1 police officer was in sight. So my dad told him to ignore them.
After the speedway, we were going to board the train back to Bridgend, and as we walked past a man (we were singing a Crumpy song) he turned round and said "F*** off you filthy English t***" and "F*** off England!" So my dad turned round and gave the guy a mouthfull, then 2 of the station members threatened to arrest my dad (at this point my 10 year old Brother was crying!) so my dad had to tell the staff what had happened, but by that time it was too late, and then, 2 welsh people came up to my brother and told him to ignore them as not all welsh people are like that. So when we got onto the platform, the guy and his mates were messing about, so my dad told 2 police officers, and before he could even finish telling him what had happened, one of the officers had the guy in handcuffs.
They were the negatives, now on to the positives (I drank that much beer can I even remember any positives?

The actual event was bloody awesome, me and my dad can remember the first year when we came and there was less than 10,000 there, but for it to jump to 45,000 in 7 years is amazing! The track seems to be providing better racing every year, however, it was a bit choppy this year, resulting in a few crashes (get better soon Bomber! :thumb) but overall, some of the racing was brilliant. I am just happy to have heared the boos for Pedersen (when he came out just my family was booing
) but it escalated! :thumb He could have easily got up on 3 occasions.
Sad to see Nicholls blowing his chance in the final but eh, Crumpy won!
